All ZenGengo assignments can be automatically graded. However, sometimes it is desirable or necessary to give personalized feedback. With ZenGengo, it is possible to give written, audio, or video feedback.
Personalized feedback can be given on Audio Recording, Video Recording, and Written Report assignments. With these assignment types, it is also possible to give a manual score (as a percentage).
Accessing the feedback page
To give feedback on Audio Recording, Video Recording, or Written Report assignment submissions, first click on the "View" option in the "Submissions" menu:
On the next screen, click the "Give Feedback" button for the desired submission to open the feedback panel:
On the next screen, you can give feedback for the desired submission:
Selecting feedback mode
You can select the feedback mode using the tabs "Write Comment", "Record Audio", and "Record Video". Note that it's only possible to give one kind of feedback at a time.
Assigning a score
You can input a score for the submission as a percentage in the small box to the right of the screen:
Returning feedback to students
Click the green "Save Feedback" button to save feedback. Before you can get the feedback link or send feedback via email, you will need to save your feedback.
If you have student email addresses (either by specifying a list of students in advance, or requiring student details on submission) you will be able to send a feedback link to the student by email by clicking on "Send Feedback Link". Otherwise you can use the "Get Feedback Link" button to copy the unique feedback link and provide it to the student by another means.
Please note that anyone in possession of the feedback link will be able to view the feedback page. However, the feedback link contains a unique code that cannot be guessed by someone who is not in possession of the link.
Once you have copied the feedback link, you can provide it to students by whichever means of communication you prefer (Zoom chat, LMS forum post, etc)
When accessing the feedback link, the student will see a page like this:
