A course is a collection of ZenGengo lessons developed around a particular topic, theme, skill, grammar point, etc. The process of creating a course is explained in the article How do I create courses?
In addition to creating courses yourself, it is also possible to import courses created by others (e.g., colleagues, publishers, etc.).
Follow the steps below to import a course into your ZenGengo account.
- Login to ZenGengo and navigate to the homepage.
- Click the "Import Course" button on the top right of the page.
- Enter the import code. (Note: The import code must be provided to you by the course author).
- Once you have imported the course, you can access it by clicking the "Course" button on the teacher dashboard.
- Inside the course settings area, you can add a description, upload a cover image, or add/remove lessons from the course. You will also see a button that enables you to copy the course link. This is the link you will share with students.
It is important to remember that in order to study the content contained in courses, students must register with ZenGengo and enroll in the course by entering the course Join Code. The Join Code can be found by clicking the Submissions Settings button and looking under the heading Student Details.
If you would like to use the content of a course but prefer that the students aren't required to login with Google or Microsoft, you will need to create a new folder and copy the lessons from the course into the new folder. In this case, students will access the content through lesson links provided by the teacher (rather than from a course page).
